Yoga

Yoga is becoming a very popular way of keeping balanced and supple, and certain types are even aerobic as well. The problem with yoga is that it is very easy to injure yourself, and so it is vital that you pick an experienced teacher.

Maxine Thobias had been teaching Iyengar yoga now for 35 years. Originally a student of Mr. BKS Iyengar himself, and encouraged by him to teach, Maxine has become one of the top yoga teachers in the world.

Triyoga

One of the top places for yoga in London, with over 100 classes a week and nearly 40 yoga teachers. Watch out for celebrities as well!

Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre

This focus of this centre is more on the religious, meditative and devotional side of yoga. This centre is a welcome relief from the yoga posers that treat yoga merely as a gymnastics class to show off their bodies. However, we could only give it 2 stars because we feel that the instruction, especially for beginners, is not the best. (Beginners, for example, are encouraged to do headstands.)
